Google analytics on Weebly

Google Analytics is a powerful tool for monitoring your websites. The monitoring cover a wide range of field including traffic, referrals and search engine activity. An application that can do so much things may be considered as hard to handle stuff. In fact, google analytics comes with a rather steep learning curve, which can be intimidating at first. As the google says, with Google Analytics, you’re more prepared to write better-targeted ads, strengthen your marketing initiatives and create higher converting websites. It is a free tool from google that allows you to track the number of people who come to your website, where they come from and what they do.

Using the tool should not be hard for frequent surfers. You need to set up an Analytics account and create a profile for the website you wish to track. There will be code provided and you paste it in the head section before the body tag. Then you verify that the code is installed. Next you need to understand conversions, a little tricky term. Conversions are the number of people who make a purchase and the value of the purchase divided by the number of people who visit your site. This gives you how much each person who visits your site is worth to you.

With a free website builder like Weebly, linking with google analytics has become easier. To do that, you need to go to the settings section and click ‘Edit Site Settings’. Go to the google analytics tracking code. After hitting the blue button to “Access Analytics”, the user will now log in to their previously registered Analytics account and then click on the “+Add new profile” button on top, above the Analytics table. Google Analytics loads a page with an automated code for “A single domain”, which should now be selected and copied by the user.
