Make your landing page actually valuable

In online marketing the concept of landing page is now flourishing. It is the page that appears when a potential customer clicks on an advertisement. The page will usually display sales copy that is a logical extension of the advertisement or link. Actually the web is flooded with landing pages and everyone of it is screaming to sell something. So if you are planning to start a landing page for your own to supplement your small business, how can you ensure to maximize your landing page’s Value? Main idea is balancing. You don’t want to give away too much but you do want to draw their interest enough so they will click on that link to learn more or buy.

Headlines are the best opportunity you have to really grab your reader’s attention. What you can do is, include a primary keyword that will grab both your both your reader’s and the search engine’s attention. You will need to include a call-to-action that instructs visitors on what to do next. Visitors will see some links, that will trigger their curiosity to learn more. Texts have to be chosen very carefully to do this. Add some drama in the sense. Suppose you are selling a diet product. Then to inspire the visitor to subscribe your newsletter, you can put your headline like this- ‘Thousands of people are dieing just because they are fat. Are you fat?’

Whether your landing page is short or longer, keep the contents of the page tightly knit. Try to think about your copy as a business tool and not an art form. You’re trying to persuade readers to take action, not feel good about your ability to express yourself.
